I've tried to upgrade from 4.9 to 6.2 and get the following error.
I found some posts regarding the error and it appears to be associated with the Chat module, but none seemed to provide a suggested solution.   The site is completely down.

Hi Jill
I'm not a developing expert, but I know that 6.2 is compiled, meaning that the app_code is really part of non compiled coding - I know it's not very technical in my explanation.

For now, backup that folder, so you have a copy of it, ten delete the folder that has the chat code in it.

It will leave the chat module not working, but you might need to upgrade that one to work for 6.2.

It will however, get you closer to being live again.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I deleted the Chat folders and reference in web.config to Chat.

That got rid of the original error, but now I'm getting the following error...

Compiler Error Message: CS0234: The type or namespace name 'Linq' does not exist in the namespace 'System' (are you missing an assembly reference?)

Source Error:

Line 26: using System.Globalization;
Line 27: using System.IO;
Line 28: using System.Linq;
Line 29: using System.Net;
Line 30: using System.Net.Mail;

Source File: e:xxxx\www\Install\UpgradeWizard.aspx.cs    Line: 28

Any suggestions on this one?!!!

Thanks,

Jill

DNN versions later than 5.2 require ASP.Net 3.5 SP 1 or ASP.Net 4.0. Your site is still running either ASP.Net 2.0 or 3.5 without service pack 1 installed or selected for the site's application pool.

Host tells me that ASP.NET 3.5 with SP1 is installed.

Any other ideas?!!

Jill
