Hi

I've got three website and they are all in the same server but different application pools so i've made one of the websites a products website where i will be editing, inserting the products.

On the other two websites i've installed Xmod pro and created a view to only view the products that are relavent to each website but now the probem is that the images on the product website are using relative path instead of the ubsolute path, what happens is that it insert the image and when i view the product on the other website it doesn't display because now its adding the wrong url e.g products website's url is www.wowinteractive5.co.za it doesn't add this url in when i insert the image in the editor on the page  <img alt="" src="/Portals/0/Images/image3.jpg" />

When i view the products on the bellow websites it adds this url's infront of the image path of which this is incorrect it supporse to keep the original url.

www.wowinteractive.co.za
<img alt="" src="http://www.wowinteractive.co.za/Portals/0/Images/image3.jpg" />
www.wowi.co.za
<img alt="" src="http://www.het.co.za/Portals/0/Images/image3.jpg" />

David

Do you have three separate portals? Or are they all one portal but different domains being used?

You might start by checking your portal aliases to see if things are wrong in the defined aliases.

You can also change the HTML provider settings I believe to include absolute URLs if you want in the save of the content.

Hi All

after a long wait i finaly got my answer from powerdnn see their answer below.

DNN and the editor don't function that way.I consulted with another tech here, and he agreed that in order to do what youare talking about, you would either have to hardcode it into the HTML module orjust add the full path in by hand when you're adding the images/image links inthe editor.

This KB article discusses relative/absolute URLs (it talks aboutemail/newsletter implementation, but the concept is the same):
