I'm getting weird error massage that I cannot deal with:
Every time I'm trying to edit text in HTML module I'm getting the followingerror message:

"Corrupted Content Error
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the datatransmission was detected.
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an errorin the data transmission was detected."

Here are the things I've tried to do in order to fix theproblem:

  1.  look at the event log - there is no trace regarding this error message
  2. Confirming html & editor versions are the current ones - and reinstalling them (in repair mode).
  3. Looking in web.config to see if RadEditorProvider is the default - YES.
  4. Reference about similar error message did not help "http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/forumid/200/threadid/444372/scope/posts.aspx" (Done everything except the last advice that I did not find).

I'm using DNN v6.1.5.
I've to mention that the following problem does not occur in the entire sitebut only in the minisite (portals/1/) I've been trying to build. Further thanthat - the error message occur when I'm logged in as Host (super user). WhenI'm logged in as administrator the module does not response (nothing happenswhen I'm clicking on "edit text" or "Manage"(settings).I've also tried to delete modules and reinstall them (HTML and others) -NOTHING WORKS

PLEASE HELPPPPPP!!!!

Having the SAME problem. Updated site to 6.2.2 no help.
Everytime I click the setting button on a module I get this error.
I am also having issue with the "Manage" button on modules, Can load the menu once but then not again until the page is refreshed. Can not Delete the module from the page. Can rollover Delete, but clicking Delete does nothing.

Eran -

This looks like a java script/jQuery issue most likely due to the skin or a specific module on the page either loading the wrong version of jQuery or trying to load jQuery multiple times. I had similar problems with a legacy skin which made use of the JD Menu which in addition to loading an earlier version of jQuery also loaded several jQuery scripts which provided several functions that are now are handled in jQuery 1.7.2 and have the same name. I finally sorted it out by examining with Fiddler the resource requests being made as the page loaded then disabling the skin's loading of the wrong jQuery version and the extra jQuery scripts.

Also in early July a number of sites running on three different hosting providers all of which used Plesk for their hosting control panel were hacked through an unpatched Plesk vulnerability. In applying the "Run Forest Run" hack a number of java script files were replaced with malicious code or removed. Those sites in which the hack did not cause the desired redirect to a pseudo-random site continued to load for anonymous users but for the administrators/host users showed all sorts of java script/jQuery related errors most of which were inactive Manage menus and buttons which did not respond. Examination of the file time-stamps and a comparison of java script files of the hacked sites with those in an install package of the same version located the modified or missing files which were then replaced.

If your issues developed earlier this week I suspect that the following blog post explains the issue and solution:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/B...

I had three sites, all running DNN 6.1.3 or 6.1.5 that had been upgraded from 5.x sites suddenly on August 11th start acting strangely and in particular showed main menu rendering problems or Manage buttons that did not display their context menus when hovered over or clicked. Unchecking hosted jQuery or changing the hosted url to a specific version (1.7.2) fixed the problems.
