I know this may sound trivial, but I need to add a profile field to the user registration property.  Running 6.2.1 and while it allows me to enter all the required info, after update- I never see it?  I've tried doing this about 10 times adding other configuration check marks, and still same result, it does not remember or insert the filed into the registration page or even use profile page.

I was able to do this in 6.0 and 6.1 but since 6.2 - not able to?  Adding text box Alpha numeric text up to 10 characters.

Need the powers that be to assist or tell me this is a bug that will be fixed down the road (soon?)

Thanks, MIKE

Hi Mike;

The changes made in 6.2 to Profile Properites under Site Settings don't make it clear how to actually "Save" your changes to get a new Profile Property to appear...

When you click "Add New Profile Property" and fill out the first screen you click "Next

At this point you'll see "Save Localized Text" hyperlink.

Click this!!!!

Then hit "Return" button or the 'X' at top right of the pop up

Now you will see your new Profile Property at the top of the Property list

There is no "Save" button on either Page 1 or 2 of the pop up

Yes, this is a bug DNN-21953

Ken - Thanks for the reply - but the bug is that it never adds to the top of the property list.  I've tried this several times without success.  I've tried modifying even one of the standard fields- but there isn't an option to change the name.

I've tried using a custom registration...but this also does not seem to work to provide an additional field to add to the profile. Hopefulyy this will be fixed soon- I have other sites to update to DNN 6.2, but cannot due to customized profile entity that is needed to log thru another associated site.

Mike

Would you watch this screen cast and let me know if these are the same stesp you are performing?

http://www.screencast.com/t/o33MuAhEgc3

IF you click "Return" on the 2nd screen your data is not saved.

You must click "Save Localized Text" on the 2nd screen or your data is not saved
