Hi,

I am new to DotNetNuke and need to save the data a user inputs into a form into an existing database. Can anyone explain how this is done or provide the name of any modules (free is possible) which can enable this?

Thank you,

You can use helferlein_Form available on CodePlex.

Best wishes
Michael

Hi Michael,

Can I use helferlein_Form to save to an existing database of my choice? If so, can you let me know how to go about this? If not, do you know of any which offer this functionality?

Thanks,

Hi,

no and yes.

helferlein_Form saves the submissions in a table called helferlein_FormSubmissions - there is no way to change that.

There is a module called CFL (Custom Form & List) by gamma concept. No idea if it still works with DNN 6, but it used to be very flexible. Sebastian Leupold should be able to tell you more about it.

Best wishes
Michael
