Hi,

I have written a DNN module that needs to send mails periodically. So I have created a Scheduler Task.

I want to deploy my module and the associate scheduler task at the same time, is it possible in one zip file? is there some lines I have to add in the manifest file?

Thank you in advance.

François.

Hey François. I had to tackle the same problem a little while ago. There might be better ways to do it but what I did was add a class in my project and had that class implement the IUpgradeable interface. This interface is part of dotnetnuke and it allows you to implement a method that will be called whenever you install or upgrade the module. In that method you can add code to add the scheduled process. The next step was to register this class in the dnn manifest file as a businessControllerClass.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply,

I have made an installer in the settings control of the module, with error message in base control when connected as host. So the user as to click the "Install Scheduler" button in the interface.

I will try your solution.

Thank you !
