So you talk about the verification code on the notification after register on the portal.

After a block is a point that it could be that this is copied by the users with.  Or they vorget a symbol on the end of the verification code.  Try it with a test user.

You are able to verfy a user manuelly on the user management in the Administration section.

I can authorize the user manually through the admin.  I don't think this is a user error as I myself created a user and attempted to use the activate link and received the same message.  The error details seem to tell me that there's some issue with the module.
