Hello,

whilst we can't accept large contributions without a contributor agreement (to protect the project against IP issues), we can accept minor items such as bug fixes or small enhancements. The best way to contribute these is to raise them as a bug or enhancement (in your case enhancement) at support.dotnetnuke. Either add any changed file(s) or write up the necessary changes and add them to the issue - and ensure that you check the "includes code fix" checkbox - when our triage team are identifying issues to fix in future releases they assess them by severity/priority but always check 'includes code fix" issues - they will then raise it with the development team who will confirm if the change can be made.

Thanks.

Is there a group of non-DotNetNuke employed community members with commit access for Community Edition?

yes, they are known as the "core team" - all of them have signed NDA's (as they attend meetings and have access to private forums where we discuss sensitive material), and have singed contributor agreements (to protect the project IP)
