I work for a non-profit educational association. We want to sell memberships on our site, but, the process requires some customization and I'm not sure which "shopping cart" option out there is best. Here's what we need:

• Ability to completely hide/remove the catalog 
• Ability to add items to the cart through a different custom module - this is because we need to be able to add memberships to the user's cart through our add membership form
• Ability to do "gift cards" or some balance on the user's account
• Ability to bundle products
• Ability to add donations

We need these functions because our membership selection process is a little complicated. I can write a wizard to help the person get the right membership, but then I need to send their selection to their cart. The "gift card" thing is because we do grants for people to help pay for things like our conferences and memberships. 

I've looked at dnnstore, but I've been struggling with it a bit, and I think it will take a lot of customization. Does anybody have a recommendation of something we can use or a good option to pursue?
