Check the Site settings to enable captcha for register.  I think to remember taht the Forum module didn't have captcha support on post.

Ohk. So if i need to put captcha  on submit of creating new thread in Forum then i need to make changes in Source of Forum module. I have installed module with Forum source and if i made changes in control of forum , it is not reflecting changes in site.  so i want to know  that can i make code level and design level changes in Forum module of DNN.

You can make code and design changes, then you have to compile and create a new install package with your changes and install it on the portal.
