Hi All,

I hope someone can help...

I upgraded to the latest version of DNN from 6.1.5

Now regular users cannot post to the forum - the permissions are set as PUBLIC MODERATED, when posting the user gets the usual message that a moderator needs to approve the post. However no notification is sent out to the forum mods and when checking the post que it shows 0 and the post cannot be found anywhere.

On a separate note - does anyone know how to edit the Tags/Terms in the forum? I run 2 separate forums on the same db/portal - different websites but the terms/tags are showing on both when posting in either forum. (one is about self help in everyday life and the other computer help forums - so it's kind of annoying having unrelated terms showing as a selectable option).

Thanks guys!

Hi Tobias,

Thanks for the fast reply. I have checked the Event Viewer in DotNetNuke and there are no entries being logged related to this and there are no error messages. Everything works up to the point of making a post but the post never appears in the moderated que or on the forum - no notifications are sent either. :-(

Any other ideas?

Try using Public Moderated w / Post Restrictions. It might help. My forum is free for registered users to post in. But you can sign up with Google on or Facebook so it's still easy to get started. It could be a way around this problem, maybe.

Hi, Apologies for the late response, I've been real busy but would like to get this working.

I have tried every single available permission that allows moderated forum and nothing ever appears - the posts just vanish into the ether :-(

I'm running out of ideas and it seems like no one else is having this issue :-(
