In my DotNetNuke-site, I want to create the following functionality:

A simple box that has an input field in which you can submit a date.
That date should be processed in an existing webservice.
The output of the webservice is a new date, calculated by the webservice.

The in- and output of the webservice is in XML.

How would I be able to do so in DotNetNuke?!
Hope this isn't a dumb question, I just don't know that much about webservices.

I'd recommend creating a custom module that make the call to the external service. There are plenty of code examples available for both modules and web service calls.
