Hi,

Using the latest version of DNN I'd like to create a blog.

Although I enjoy the freedom that DNN provides over WordPress I'm not acquainted with blog modules  and I like the features of WordPress for blogging (not its websites building features)?

Should I stick to Wordpress for mere blogging or can I implement an equally effective blogging platform on DNN (I hope)?

Is there any free or commercial modules that are on a par with the blogging features of WordPress?

I'm specifically looking for friendly Url's and SEO registration.

Cheers,

Colin

Colin,
There are many options for blogging on DNN. I'd highly recommend trying out a few by downloading some trials from the DNN Store. Depending on the features you need/want and how much you like to tweak with things some are more "plug and play" and some are more customizable.

Personally, I started using Ventrian's News Articles years ago and stuck with that. It works, it's good at SEO, Keywords, URL ReWriting and I can customize the look any way I want. It also supports multi-tenant blogs which was important to me.

Good luck and post back with what you've chosen

I'll second Ventrian, it's low cost, very flexible and easy to use. I use it on my santry.com for managing all my blog content. Plus the vendor has been with DNN since the beginning.
