All,

This is really a design issue with CSS and a file my style sheet references but it's in a module, not a skin and that's why I'm posting here.

I am trying to replicate rounded corners in IE8.  Since IE8 it doesn't support CSS3, I am using the file from http://css3pie.com/.  It works great the first time I hit the page but then I lose my rounded corners afterwards.

Here's how I reference the file needed to make the rounded corners in IE:

behavior: url(PIE.htc);

This is done in my Module.css file.

Again, the first hit on the page shows rounded corners but then I lose them.  The only solution is to open a new browser and it comes back but again only for a single hit.  Then I lose it again.

Does anyone know why this happens?  It works perfectly fine in Firefox.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Did you add the Content-Type?

AddType text/x-component .htc

Hi Mark,

I'm not sure if Content-Type is your problem, but if it is you will need to add a Mime Type to your web.config file in the staticContent section like this:

<staticContent>
      <mimeMap fileExtension=".htc" mimeType="text/x-component" />
 </staticContent>

Also check their forums. Here is a very similar problem.  http://css3pie.com/forum/viewtopic.ph...

Richard,

Thanks, that got me in the right direction and I found this post:

http://css3pie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1456

Injecting this in the head of the page corrected the IE8 issue:

< !--[if lt IE 9] >
< script src="http://html5shim.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js" >< /script >
< ![endif]-- >

Thanks for the help. Now I need help with this issue:

Please post if you can offer any suggestions :)

Regards.
Mark
