I'm new to making modules, but I came across the visual studio starter kit in the downloads section and it sounds like a good place to start.

I download the starter kit but it's only 1K and when I try to open it it says "The content file to open is not a Zip file, nor is it a self extracting executable. Try downloading or regenerating the content again"

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I have visual studio installed so I should just have to download the file and double click it. But it seems like the download itself is corrupt maybe? All I want to do is make some modules!

Steve, I would suggest you take a look at the wiki entry for module development, http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...

You'll find that it references my templates at http://christoctemplate.codeplex.com/ they are, IMHO, the best way to get started with module development.
