I read up all I could find on the Lite framework for mobile and added this to my web config, below the clientDependency section, but mobile devices do not redirect when you navigate to http://GolkoConsulting.com

Can anyone see wha't wrong?  I haven't done anything else but add the page to DNN that I'm redirecting to, but redirection does not happen.

Is there something else I have to do to enable redirection?

<redirect firstRequestOnly="true"
timeout="20"
devicesFile="~/App_Data/Devices.dat"
mobilePagesRegex="/(Mobile|Tablet)/">
<locations>
<location name="tablet" url="http://www.golkoconsulting.com/Home/Welcome.aspx">
<add property="IsTablet" matchExpression="true"/>
<add property="IsMobile" matchExpression="true"/>
</location>
<location name="mobile" url="http://www.golkoconsulting.com/Home/Welcome.aspx">
<add property="IsMobile" matchExpression="true"/>
</location>
</locations>
</redirect>

<log logFile="~/App_Data/Log.txt" logLevel="Info"/>

<detection binaryFilePath="~/App_Data/data.bin" />

Has anyone used the included Lite mobile provider to redirect to a different home page for a mobile version of your DNN portal?  I'm having trouble getting this to work; see post above.

Nobody is using the Lite mobile redirect?  Anyone got it working?  What's the secret?

BUMP.

Isn't anyone using the Lite version for mobile redirection -- it would be good to have one thread where the answer to how to make it work is discussed -- any takers?  I'll keep bumping this till we have the answer to share for the good of the community.

As a side note, it is totally unworkable to have to buy a $300 data feed for a portal.  Every portal I do is on a separate DNN installation.  Mobile sites are going for 300 to 700 in my area, totally not cost effective at all.  If I can't get the lite version to work there is no hope in using DNN for a mobile platform for the small sites I'm doing.  I'll have to just use WordPress which as a ton of free mobile plug ins that work -- one of whcih does detect any type of device and makes appropriate adjustments.  I'd like to stick with DNN but come one -- $300 a site just to detect a mobile device?
