Hello,

I am really in need of some help here.  Running DNN 6.1.5.

I have noticed that if you make an edit to your module, and change its version via the .dnn(Manifest file) and the assyemblyinfo.cs file, and then install the mdule again - DNN just wants to run the uninstall script.  I also noticed if you leave the version alone and just make an edit and leave version alone it does same thing.

If I install the module on a fresh copy of DNN - it runs the install script and module installs correctly.  So the manifest file should not be the problem.

What does one have to do - uninstall and re-install?  I guess that would be one solution - but just wondering if I am missing something here?

Any help would be appreciated - really stumped here

It should not run the uninstall script upon upgrade/repair. I have never experienced that.

Maybe there is a problem with your manifest file.

Can you double check that the uninstall script file is marked as "UnInstall" and is not "Install"

<script type="UnInstall"> <path>providers\dataproviders\sqldataprovider</path> <name>uninstall.sqldataprovider</name> <version>05.01.01</version> </script>

OK - what what about if you change the version number - has anyone experienced that?

John,

Is your module upgradable?
