i bit the bullet to install af 5 b2. thank god my site is not yet in production. the control panel is beautiful but practically unusable. its tool bar refreshes every time a tab is selected and brings the user back to the dashboard view. i have not tested the forums functionality....

Testing is still in process by me.  But I have also to test a lot of other modules, that are some more near from release.

Matthias,

No real test can be done if the convert from AF4 and the old Forums is not done.

But it seems that there is no such script.

 Costas

As I know the work on a Migration script from DNN Forum to Active Forums is started, but not finished yet.  I know that the developer also works on a lot of other modules and the core if self, so it could hold it's time.

yes, i was registered but no links worked. in any event, your comment about the browswer prompted me to switch to firefox which does not cause the problem. i can now set up and administer the forums.

as i mentioned previously, the control panel is superbly conceived (just my initial impression) and nearly a work of art. other module developers could learn from it.

Have you activated your account?  If not it could not work.  I know the download link is there and the package too.
