you cannot access user controls from the skin.ascx, you need either a skin object or a module.

Hi,

see my requirement is i want to locate a hyperlink near logout, checknotifications, and near profile avatar.

i have placed a hyperlink without any issues in "DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Controls.User"

but when i click it i want to redirect it to my own module("Profile") available in the destopmodules.

say if the hyperlink is Settings, and when i click it it should go to the settings page available in the profile module.

How do i make it possible.Already it takes my more time.

all your suggestions are appreciable.

I'm guessing creating a module, or even a skin-object, that gets it's URL (to redirect to) from your DNN's hostsettings, and adding that module in your skin, could do the trick..
