Hi Mak,

Could you please verify under Admin > Event Viewer if you have some errors report from the Store module?

Gilles

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hello Gilles,

May we have your help? We are setting up Subscriptions on DotNetNuke on 6.20.  Paypal Sandbox has been set up according to instructions from you and others.  IPN transactions is being sent from Paypal back to our site but the test user is not being added to the Security Role.

Here is what we have done:

  1. Setup test security role "Monthly Subscription" with a $5/month charge
  2. Created a DNN test user (buyer@tipstars.org)
  3. Created a PayPal Sandbox account with buyer and seller test accounts (e.g. buyer@tipstars.org), seller@tipstars.org))
  4. Setup Cancel.aspx and Subscribe.aspx return pages in DNN
  5. Setup DNN Admin >> Advanced >> Payment Settings with the sandbox buyer email (seller@tipstars.org) plus the cancel and return full URLs
  6. Verified in PayPal Sandbox seller account that IPN was turned on and that URL for IPN was www.tipstars.org
  7. Logged in as the DNN test user and purchased the subscription using PayPal Sandbox credentials
  8. Verified from seller PayPal Sandbox that the transaction went through and from the PayPal IPN History that the transaction was sent without errors

After numerous tests and triple checking all the steps the buyer is not being placed into the test security role by DNN.  The IPN page is live to the world and PayPal IPN History is showing a Server 200 response from our server.  What are we missing?

Thanks for looking.

Quick update I have upgraded our site to 6.2.7.3.  There was one issue I had to solve which is recorded in http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F....

After all that our situation is the same.  The transaction goes all the way through but the user is NOT put in the proper security role.  Sigh.  One step away!
