I have a module that I want on every page, but I don't want other users to be able to touch it.  Is there a way to lock that particular module, but allow a user to have edit rights for the rest of the page?  Right now, the only way I see of doing this is for me to add other modules to the page and give the user edit rights for the individual modules.  Is there something obvious I'm just missing?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In order to get this working you will need to create a role for the users who you want to allow to edit the module. If you open the properties of the container in which that module is on your page uncheck "View permissions from Page" and in the matrix above that setting choose the role you want to allow 'edit' permissions of that module. If you want other users to see that module you need to set permissions to 'view' for that role. Hope this helped...

I'm currently doing what you've suggested, but my problem is that the user that "owns" the page must come to me to add additional modules to the page.  I was hoping there was a way to deny editing rights to the page owner for that linked module.

I don't believe there is a way of doing this - I would love to have that kind of functionality on my HomePage module so that users could not edit/remove certain modules (they own their own page).
