I resently started to review the social features of DNN 6.2 after a customer requested more facebook and twitter integration. NP.

  1. Had a look around the www.dotnetnuke.com user profiles to set up my expectations of the end user experience.
  2. Upgraded the DNN site to 6.2.3
  3. Reviewed my "Host/Admin" profile on the upgraded site.
  4. Discovered that two "My Profile" entries were displayed.
  5. Discovered the right side menu for the users social interactions was missing.
  6. When editing the users profile fields, it wasn't obvious what the padlock symbols were for configuring the visibility of that information.
  7. There was no quick way of seeing all the profile visibility values set for all the fields, without clicking through each of them.
  8. There seemed to be difference in the nice layout that the www.dotnetnuke.com web site used to display users public properties, versus the 6.2.3 layout that was less than elegant.
  9. I'm not sure that users are going to find this a nice experience, or is there a different user experience for Admin/Host users? (Hope not).

Help! Is there some training videos walking through these changes?

I know that there are some videos out there try dnnhero.com or dnn creative.com ...also put in what you're looking for in you tube...there are a number of videos out there.

I can't find any youtube video's on the topic that are not a year or two old, so they will not be covering the latest changes to the UI experience.
