Hi

I am new to DNN, and I was looking in the forums for assistance but it didn't help me. I setup a DNN website (with help) about 2 jrs ago, I want to upgrade to the latest stable version but I cant find my current version. I found a post that said i can look in the dotnetnuke.dll file but I cant see anything there all I get is garbage, perhaps I dont know how to look.

can someone please help me.

 Thanks

Fredstix

you need super user account to access version information or direct access to files level (FTP or RDP access). Hosts will find version number displayed in Host > Host Settings and Host > Dashboard. on file level, you may retrieve version number of dotnetnuke.dll in bin folder.

Thank you Sebastian, I have found the file, but how do I read the file, what do I use to "open" the file.

you do not need to open just (download and) right-click file to access file properties, which will display version number on 2nd or 3rd tab.
