I keep getting this error message when trying to instal 6.2.0

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'D:\Websites\jamiesalisbury.com\www\web.config' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share) at System.Xml.XmlTextWriter..ctor(String filename, Encoding encoding) at System.Xml.XmlDocument.Save(String filename) at DotNetNuke.Web.Client.ClientResourceManagement.ClientResourceManager.AddConfiguration() at DotNetNuke.Services.Install.InstallWizard.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

I have checked permissions up one side and down the other and still get this message?

Your root folder (httpdocs or whatever) need to have proper permissions.

I have checked and rechecked the permissions.  I have deleted the folder and started from new and still get this error.  So the problem must be with my server?

The ASP.Net worker process account (IIS applicastion pool identity account) must be granted full permissions (including modify) on the website's root folder (most likely /www). Although you say that you have checked and rechecked permissions -- to what account are you granting full permissions?

Another possibility is that the web.config file itself has it's read-only attribute set.

Permissions were set for IUSR and Network Service:  Modify, Read & Execute, List folder contents, Read, Write

I even went as far as to give them full control to see if that worked.

According to Amazon AWS:

The issue appears to be DNN/Windows permission issue rather than anything to do with the instance itself.
Here is a link to a few suggestions from people that have had the same issue.
Can you try some of these and see if it fixes your issue.

So I will check these and get back to you.
