I loaded the Forum extension on my 6.2 site. The permissions are set as PUBLIC MODERATED, when posting the user gets the usual message that a moderator needs to approve the post.

However no notification is sent out to the forum moderator and when checking the post queue it shows 0 and the post cannot be found anywhere. I have tried other permission setting but still the same problem.

Thanks

What extensions are that ? If you used the "old" forum module, then keep in mind that it is discontinued.

Try the AF 5 module.

Thanks Sebastian I’ll check that out!

Costas,

This is the first time I’ve installed an extension. Is AF 5 ready and stable for 6.2? Would it be better to uninstall the old version I just installed?

Thanks for the help!

Well, i don't know how to answer that without upseting people.

If you install the old forums module (the one you have now) you will have to CONVERT to the new AF 5.

Ohhhh !!!!!!!!!

If you install the new AF 5, you will definitely have problems but you will not have to convert anything.

AF 5 are very new and have problems. It will be more stable in a few weeks but it is usable right now.

Costas
