Hi Members,

A couple of quick questions regarding set-up.

a) Why is it when I logon to my new DNN 6.02 site, I cannot view or edit my profile properties under my basic user? I can if I logon as HOST (amend host profile properties) but not when I logon as a registered basic user and click this user in the top right o the website to goto user settings, messages etc.?

b) Why is it when I use Internet Explorer v8+, I cannot see the text labels on the registration page (just the fields) or the text under the 'Terms Of Use' and 'Privacy Statement). I can in Chrome and Firefox. See link: http://www.thesilenteye.co.uk/privacy...

Thanks in advance folks.

Cheers Mark.

a) please check module permissions
b) please apply default skin and container (Darknight) to the page and retry.

Thanks Sebastian for the prompt reply.

For (a) and a 'registered user' without administration rights, where do I check (which screen) the module permissions? See screenshot http://www.thesilenteye.co.uk/problem1dnn.jpg . Is it the module permissions on the page shown in the screenshot above when logged on as host? Note: when I have logged on as Administrator, I still cannot edit the profile properties for the user, only as host does the above screenshot allow me to edit properties as shown here: http://www.thesilenteye.co.uk/problem1dnn.jpg . What am I doing wrong? In summary, what module on what page do I need to give to registered users to enable them to edit their own profile properties like I can for host in the second link?

For (b), which is the vanilla DarkKnight 'skin' and 'container' so I can apply it to the appropriate screen... see screenshots http://www.thesilenteye.co.uk/problem2dnn.jpg http://www.thesilenteye.co.uk/problem3dnn.jpg

 Thjanks in advance

Cheers

Mark.

Hi Mark,
a) how do module permissions in module settings of the module look like, when being logged in as superuser?
b) just take the fist one of the darknight... elements.

When logged on as HOST, for the page shown in http://www.thesilenteye.co.uk/problem... ... I have changed all the modules such that the module settings>permissions for each of the modules shown on the page (4 in all) are enabled for registered users, that is VIEW and EDIT for registered users and administrators only..... edit is probably not needed but I wanted to make sure I was covering all bases.... this is DNN 6.2 I am using...... what am I doing wrong? In previous version of DNN, wasn't edit profile fields ON for users.....?... Only my host user can access pfile fields currently? Am I missing a module or flag somewhere?
