Hi Erik,

that's fine, but these language packs are needed urgently... But why not follow the proposal (see my posting from 2/5/2013 above) in the meantime?

Best wishes
Michael

I would love to see a poll on this feature:

"before being able to edit a module, I have to switch to edit mode on the page"   This is terrible.   Actually, I could live with it if you didn't 'enable/disable' every module on a page when you hover on/off.   I want to see the page, I am in Edit MODE, there is no need to be dimming colors all over the page.   Please turn that off.

@ Brian - I agree with you. I loved the DNN 6 UI. Even the "Manage" button. I loved the way noting got inserted into the skin when in edit mode. Made skinning easier. Now, in DNN 7, I see code being inserted in the skin in edit mode and it breaks my designs. Ugh!.

I also really dislike the monochromatic treatment of everything. It's drab.

I agree the new control panel isn't terrific when you're making a lot of changes. I also find the new side scroll module panel to be awkward to use or find modules. Makes me question how use cases are created and what user testing happens at DNN Corp around UX acceptance.  I think anyone who actually maintains a site on a daily basis finds the new toolbar to be harder to use than the old.  With some minor changes I think the new toolbar could be a winner - but for now it's a bit clunky when you need to update 20+ pages.

In any case, why not just switch your control panel to the RIbbonBar. Pretty much works like the older 6.x version. I've also use Oliver Hine's toolbar with a lot of success in multi tenant environments where non technical admins needed to main their site. Looks like he's updated it to work with DNN 7:
