[DNN 6.2.0] If I add the Links module to a page, set it to menu mode, then set the "menu root" to a node in my menu structure, the list as rendered on the page shows links to ALL the child pages of my selected node, ones that I have unchecked the "include in menu" checkbox on their Page configuration. I would think that the module's "menu" mode would obey pages' "include in menu" setting. Am I missing something?

(Now if I use the Links module in a skin, and set Level="same" it DOES ignore the page's children that have "include in menu" unchecked. But I can't use it that way in this particular case.)

Ben,
The Links module and Links skin objects are two different things.
In regards to the Menu Mode of the Links modules displaying pages NOT included in the menu, I, personally, WANT that feature. If my navigation menu starts to contain too many items, I want simple ways to provide links to pages.
Perhaps a future version of the module could have an option to exlude hidden pages...

Thanks, Mike. I thought maybe the module was a smart wrapper for the skin object, and maybe I was missing some magic setting that would make the module ignore the "hidden" pages like the skin object does. Oh well.

Hi Ben, have you thought about using the DDR Menu module instead? That gives you the option of including/excluding hidden pages and a lot more besides.

Next time I'll look at DDR menus.

The customer just wanted a "site map" at the bottom of the page. We're about to deliver, so I hardcoded the thing using HTML content modules and Links modules (in normal mode). With a little CSS it looks really good and behaves well, the only drawback being it will need to be manually adjusted if/when the menu heirarchy changes.
