Are lists (dropdownlist) working in DNN6?  I've searched the website and the web in search of information about lists and the documentation is quite poor.  Most of the details I've found were for older versions.

I am trying to create a simple dropdownlist (list) on the Registration form and have been unable to do so.

Details:

I log in as the superuser/host and under Admin open the Site Settings.  On this page, under Registration Settings, I attempt to add a registration field by name that was created below in the Profile Settings section.  It returns "No results".

Below in the Profile Settings section, I had created a new property.  The settings were setup as follows:
Data Type: List
Property Category: Contact Info
Length: 0
Default Value:
Validation Expression:
Required: <checked>
Read Only: <checked>
Visible: <checked>
View Order: 0
Default Visibility: All Users
> I then clicked 'Next' and created the list by clicking 'Add Entry' (two values separated by a semicolon)
*note: I have tried using a space, a comma, and using a single value without luck
>> I then clicked 'Next' and filled out the Localization fields, saved, and then clicked 'Return.
**note2: I have also tried building the list first, using the same name as the property

I haven't had much luck.  I've tried a variety of combinations and logical alternatives and searched the web for clear instruction and haven't been able to solve this very basic function of .NET.

Could someone please explain to me the proper way to create a simple dropdownlist in Dot Net Nuke 6+?

Thank you in advance!

Best,

Sean J

Sean, AFAIR there are issues with Lists being used in Registration form in DNN 6.2.0 ff. This has been recorded and should be fixed in one of the next versions.

Thank you for your prompt reply, Sebastian!

Have there been any announcements regarding this bug?  Our development project cannot continue until we're able to collect critical registration information from a dropdownlist.  It is a critical component of our product.

Also, are there any known workarounds?
