By default, the "Send Notification" is set every time I modify a user's roles.

I would rather this NOT be the default.  Is there a way I can change this?

Kinda like this forum post.  I have to Check the Notification box for it to notify me.

I have the same request... did you ever get an answer to this??

UPDATE:
I found my own answer...

Open up the website file: "DesktopModules\Admin\Security\securityroles.ascx"
Find the line of code that reads:
     <asp:CheckBox ID="chkNotify" resourcekey="SendNotification" runat="server" Checked="True" />
Change the value of "Checked" to "False"

Not really. I ended up modifying the core to disable sending mail. But, I have to re-apply these changes every time I upgrade the site.

DesktopModules\Admin\Security\SecurityRoles.ascx.cs

•RoleController.AddUserRole(User, Role, PortalSettings, datEffectiveDate, datExpiryDate, UserId, false);

•RoleController.DeleteUserRole(UserController.GetUserById(PortalId, userId), role, PortalSettings, false)

Larry,

I just modified my original post with an update. I don't know if this will help you, but that was my solution.

Thanks.  That's looks like a better way than what I did.
