When you say you upgraded to 6.2.x please tell us that you did it following the steps outlined in the WIKI and mentioned in any number of posts on this forum ...

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...

Any other upgrade steps will most likely results in any number of issues ... there have been a huge number of updates to the dnn platform since 4.9x including two major transitions of coding and platform.

I would strongly suggest you roll back now to your 4.9x backup and redo the updates in the order outlined in the wiki if you have not done so previously - it is highly unlikely that you will be able to work yourself thru to a fully functional system with these steps.

You should also verify that your site is running correctly after EACH upgrade stage -  especially at the 5.6 stage before the transition to c# and asp.net 3.5

Thanks,
I've worked with DNN since the 2.x days and have always had some kind of issues... going from DNN 4.9X to DNN 6.2.X is a HUGE jump i really would not recommend.

The upgrade path i took was

DNN 4.9.X to DNN 5.6.3 and finally to DNN 6.2.3

I will roll back and follow your recommendation...in smaller steps instead of trying to jump the Uss. Enterprise several Light years in one galactic leap for all DNN kind .

:)

I will try the chart you shared with me:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Suggested_Upgrade_Path.aspx

Thanks will get back to the forum and let you know what works.

The Upgrade Path recommends going from 4.9.5 to 5.4.4
Ok, making some progress but got the following errors:

1st ERROR
00:00:00.203 -   Executing Script: 05.00.00.SqlDataProvider Error! (see 05.00.00.log.resources for more information)

Log SAYS:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , >, >= or when the subquery is used as an expression.
The statement has been terminated.

2nd ERROR
00:00:13.703 -   Executing Script: 05.01.00.SqlDataProvider Error! (see 05.01.00.log.resources for more information)

Log SAYS:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , >, >= or when the subquery is used as an expression.
The statement has been terminated.

Before i continue to the next upgrade path of 5.0.6.08, HOW do i fix these errors so that they do not continue through the next upgrades?

How do i fix: Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , >, >= or when the subquery is used as an expression.

Please advise before I continue...
Thanks

I figured out the problem... it turns out the error was caused by an OLD OUTDATED MODULE...

Removed references of it and the backup continued with no errors.

Long story short... strongly advise the upgrade path at the following URL.
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Suggested_Upgrade_Path.aspx

From Version To Version
02.00.04 02.01.02
02.01.02 03.01.01

03.02.02 04.03.07
04.03.07 04.04.01
04.04.01 04.06.02
04.06.02 04.09.05
04.09.05 05.04.04
05.04.04 05.06.08
05.06.08 06.02.03

Note: Go to the URL to access versions listed above. IMPORTANT... You may need to delete or remove some old modules should you run into errors during or after upgrade... so BACKUP before each upgrade path.
