Hi Matthias, Thanks a lot for your reply. I am totally agree with you... Could you guide me any forum modules for DNN having the feature to set permission to thread level. If not, should I take this as a limitation of forum module in DNN.

I never have sean any Forum module where permissions could set on thread base.  But it is possible to create special subforums or own Forums for special groups. So that the Groups have it own Forums.

DNN Forum and Active Forums also supports Forum Groups at the top Level, so you could create Forums based on User Groups as a Forum Group .

Sample:

Hoster Forums (for the Hoster User group)

  • .Net Forum (permissions to the Hoster Group only)
  • PHP Forum (permissions to the Hoster Group only)
  • Plesk Forum (permissions to the Hoster Group only)

Custemer Forums (for the Customer Group)

  • .Net Forum (permissions to the Customer Group only)
  • PHP Forum (permissions to the Customer Group only)
  • Plesk Forum (permissions to the Customer Group only)
