I am getting the following error when trying to browse o my site

The webpage at http://localhost:81/ has resulted in too many redirects.

I just moved the site from the live server to my local machine.

  • Running IIS 7
  • The website is called ttstimeclock. (both Live and local)
  • I installed it as a website on port 81
  • The Physical path is C:\inetpub\wwwroot\TTSTimeClock\httpdocs
  • I had updated my SQL table portalalias as follows
--Update dbo.PortalALias
--set HttpAlias = 'localhost:81/ttstimeclock'
--where POrtalAliasID = 1
--update dbo.PortalAlias
--set HttpAlias = 'localhost:81/ttstimeclock/punchinportal'
--where PortalAliasId= 1
  • before doing that I was redirected to the live site
  • I have not added a host name entry in the Edit Site bindings dialog

Any ideas or help with what I may be doing wrong?

Thanks
