Hello all! :)

New here, still getting familiar with DNN. I've been given a project and I need to compile to test. To make a long story short I'm getting this as an error message when attempting to build the project. It's just a single module, single project. Does anyone have a tip as to where to start?

Thanks

Error 1 Unable to copy file "C:\projects\DNN\DNNDEV\wwwroot\DesktopModules\FileList\..\..\bin\FileList.dll" to "C:\projects\DNN\DNNDEV\wwwroot\DesktopModules\FileList\Package\bin\FileList.dll". Could not find file 'C:\projects\DNN\DNNDEV\wwwroot\DesktopModules\FileList\..\..\bin\FileList.dll'. FileList

It is an issue on the Manifestfile.  Perhaps you have to add the Filesource property to your Component path.

Sample how I solved same issue on my Skin package:

                  <skinfiles>
                   <path></path>
                   <name>AarsysMetro_install.dnn.resources</name>
                   <sourceFile>AarsysMetro_install.dnn.resources</sourceFile>
                 </skinfiles>

Thanks Matthias for your quick reply!

I don't believe I know about the file you mention. I have a file in my solution folder called resources.zip.manifest but I doubt that's what you mean. Is there any other info I could give to help pin this issue down?

I am not Aware about your VS Project design and naming, but ther should be a file like ModuleName.dnn or ModuleName.dnn6 which is the manifest file for install.

I think the resource.zip.manifest is the file with the Information what files have to add to the resource.zip into your Modulename.zip file.

You can check the source files on any module Project for dotnetnuke on codeplex to found a sample of the file. Also check the wiki on this site and search about manifest file.

Excellent! Yes, I do have FileList.dnn in my solution. Here are some of the contents;
