I have written an article on how to track your incoming clicks from vendors/adverts (e.g. Google Ads or banners)

This is not a well-documented or well-known piece of functionality but it is very useful!

Thanks for this -- helpful when setting up your new DNN benefactor listing and want to know how many hits you're getting from it. ;) The key is that the only way to see the affiliate URL is to send the email notification to yourself. You'll then be able to see your affiliate refs in your SiteLogs too.

Yes, you can email yourself but it is effectively adding an "AffiliateID" querystring param on the end equal to the VendorID of that vendor (which you can get by looking in the querystring while viewing the Vendor detail page).

I have also found out that you can add this to any existing URL (&AffiliateID=VendorID) and it will still increment correctly.

But yes - this is very useful and not very well documented!
