Doing some development with the journal API and was comparing my modules comments with the journal comments date created and for some reason the journal comments in the DB and via the API are always -1 hour of the actual server time regardless of the time settings of the DNN host or portal.

Is there a reason for this and will it always be the same? Is it a bug? as I need to use this data to compare against module data.

Thanks

please check time zone settings in your user profile, which overrides default portal time zone.

I did try changing the portal timezone and also user profile timezone and then posting comments again but it seems the date stored via the journal is always -1 hour of my server time. Would this have anything to do with daylight saving?

Worked it out. DNN very sensibly stores data with UTC time. Have changed my module to do the same.
