I am using DNN version 5.6.4.  I have a problem with the Event Notification sent to enrollees for a calendar event with a PayPal amount.  In these emails, neither the subject or the email body tags are not substituted. Below is an example of the subject and the body:

subject: The enrollment for Event: [event:title] on [NOTALLDAYEVENT][event:startdate][/NOTALLDAYEVENT][ALLDAYEVENT][event:startdate|D][/ALLDAYEVENT] has been updated

The enrollment for Event: [event:title] on [NOTALLDAYEVENT][event:startdate][/NOTALLDAYEVENT][ALLDAYEVENT][event:startdate|D][/ALLDAYEVENT] to [DISPLAYENDDATE][NOTALLDAYEVENT][event:enddate][/NOTALLDAYEVENT][ALLDAYEVENT][event:enddate|D][/ALLDAYEVENT][/DISPLAYENDDATE] [IFTIMEZONEDISPLAY]([event:timezone])[/IFTIMEZONEDISPLAY] has been updated - Enrollment for user [event:signupusername] has been paid and approved

It works properly on other events when there is no PayPal amount.  Also there is an “Event Details” for events that have a PayPal enrollment amount.  I have deleted the values in these attributes but they repopulate.  Do I manually replace the tokens or is there a check box in the settings that I have missed.

Thanks for your help.

David

I should have added the substitution is correct  for awaiting payment event emails.

Thanks.

Hi David,

What version of the module are you using?

You say 'Also there is an “Event Details” for events that have a PayPal enrollment amount. I have deleted the values in these attributes but they repopulate. Do I manually replace the tokens or is there a check box in the settings that I have missed.'. I don't quite understand this statement, where are you trying to remove the attributes?

Thanks
Roger

Hi Roger.

I hope you’re well. I am using Events module version 5.2.3.  The Events Detail is the last section displayed when an event is edited.  It only appears after the first enrollment and contains the value sent to an enrollee in a confirmation email.

My thought was to test if I could replace the current tokens in the email subject and email body with hard coded values.  However when someone enrolled, the unresolved tokens were still present in the enrollees confirmation email.

Thanks for your help.

David

Hi David,

Ah you mean 'Email Details' not 'Event Detials'. This is teh email that is sent if you click 'Email Selected Enrolled Users' above. It isn't the confirmation email - though it may start off as that test.

The confirmation email is the 'Enrollment Email - User Paid' template editable in the module settings, which I'm slightly suprised doesn't populate properly. I'd have to dig into that some more.

Cheers
Roger
