Hi Guys

I am sure this has been asked 100 times before but I can't seem to find the right solution.

I need to edit some of the Meta Tags such as Author, Publisher and Robots.

Any ideas as I can find the right settings?

Mark

robots.txt file may be created manually and added to the root of your installation.
Other settings may be added for each DNN page in page settings.

Hi, thanks for reply.

Unfortunately the website has many pages added every day so not really an option to amend the robots.txt file constantly.

I have another idea.

One of the modules /ascx we uses appears on all the pages we wish to change the description in the head section. We can do the other meta tags at same time.

I have a function which goes to database collects info, we generate a string and return it. So i added these lines of code in at same

Dim CDefault As DotNetNuke.Framework.CDefault = CType(Me.Page, DotNetNuke.Framework.CDefault)
            CDefault.Description = reader("Summary")
            CDefault.Author = "Mark Cooney"

But nothing has changed. The ascx still works but no changes to the head. Is this a page cycle issue perhaps?

what is your need to adjust robots.txt per page - usually all pages contained in the sitemap or accessible via links will be spidered, the list of ones to be excluded should be rather static. I use robots.txt mainly to prevent access to system directories like admin, desktopmodules and providers.

Thanks Sebastian

For what the needs are, this just wouldnt work.

I have given them access to a database table where all the data they need can be entered. Anything more technical and I would have my work cut out.

If I can get CDefault working then that would be perfect. Any ideas?
