I would like to do +1 for this gemini issue: http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/V...

Any chance of having DNN 7 ship with latest jQuery / jQuery UI?

It'll be looked at by the triage team, but I would be pretty confident that the answer is no as we've been code-complete for a while now (and are only fixing bugs determined to be sufficently serious). Updating jquery would require substantially more testing so is better done at the start of a cycle (i.e. at the beginning of 7.0.1) than at the end

Cathal, I was thinking along the same lines. There are substantial changes in jQuery UI 1.9.0 and would requires some CSS overhauling for jQuery Tabs. My only concern is users that are running hosted jQuery UI.

Would it be safe to assume then the latest jQuery will not be available until DNN 7.1 or it would be considered in one of the stabilization releases?

i can't say for sure, but my feeling is that it would be in a maintenance release as 7.1 (if it's deemed the next major release version number) will be 5-6 months out.
