Hi All,

When I try to access the File Manager I receive the following error:

c:\HostingSpaces\ClientSites\clientsites\wwwroot\DesktopModules\Admin\FileManager\FileManager.ascx.cs(776): error CS0433: The type 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipEntry' exists in both 'c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\e8968fb4\aa20a0b7\assembly\dl3\c6f8122e\001abe23_2d85cd01\SharpZipLib.DLL' and 'c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\e8968fb4\aa20a0b7\assembly\dl3\3f651b01\b0fb858d_af9ecd01\ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.DLL'

I tried deleting the asp.net temporary files but receive an access denied error. This error has recently occurred and was not an issue several weeks ago.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Sincerely,

Jango

this can happen when the .net framework accidentally corrupts an assembly (usually an over-eager antivirus is at fault, though its so rare it's difficult to recreate). Try editing your web.config and setting debug to true, then visit the site - then change debug back to false. This often works as it forces .net to clear the "old" assemblies and regenerate new valid ones

Hi  Cathal,

Thanks for the reply. I tried your suggestion and no luck. Do you think DNN upgrading to the next version would help? I'm currently running 6.2.X.

Just for the record here's the full error msg:

i doubt it - you may want to check your bin folder to ensure that you dont have duplicate assemblies (the core ships with sharpziplib.dll but there have been cases where a 3rd party moudle installed a different version of the same assembly with a different name)
