Am I overlooking something? I am running through the regular process for installation: make db, make dir, copy files, set permissions, edit web.config, hit GO ... and there is DNN 3.3.1. So far so good. Then: log in as host, change details (name/email) and change password ... or so I thought ...

When I supply the password on the 'manage password' tab by typing it twice in the supplied boxes (there is no box for 'previous password', then DNN bombs out claiming I should enter the old password ... but where?

I then proceeded to hit 'reset password' so it might reseed the password and not allow people to surf in on 'dnnhost'. I had no clue to what it was reset but I did set my email already ... so I hit 'password reminder'. Guess what: it is hidden from view (for the host password) when I received the email. So now I have a useless installation because I have no way of retrieving the host password.

Other than that it looks promising. But I guess some stuff needs finishing.

I figured it out: it was the password complexity that was insufficient. Oddly this bombs out with "You must enter the password", which I did ... twice. I then thought it was the old one they wanted but I went through the code and verified all was well. So the error message for missing the 'Validate Password' might be made a little clearer ...
