Hello Forum,

I thought this will be the right place to ask my question. I want my dotnetnuke 6.2.4 application to have a virtual directory which will be pointing to the ASP.NET application, below is the hirarchy that i would like to follow.

http://localhost/portalname/  ( my dotnetnuke portal )

I want a virtual directory inside my above dotnetnuke installation, as

http://localhost/[portalname/app

where app is the virtual directory pointing to the ASP.NET application. Whenever I create such hierarchy in my IIS (7.0 ), i get the error as given here

http://screencast.com/t/lWzADU9M

I am in need to access the ASP.NET web application from within my dotnetnuke portal's virtual directory. Please help me out of this as how this could be accomplished.

Thanks

a virtual directory does not need to be located physically inside the website directory (in most cases, it shouldn't). For a DNN module, you do not need to create an application, what are your contrete needs?

Hello Sebastian,

Thanks for your reply.

I want my dotnetnuke portal to have following structure

http://localhost/[MYPORTAL]/[APP]/PAGE.ASPX

Where APP is not the child portal of [MYPORTAL]. It is another ASP.NET application lying at another location and PAGE.ASPX is the page from APP.
