I want to use the Feedback module to create a simple comment submitter and displayer for my church's website. How do I accomplish the following:

  1. Change the "labels" on the form  -- like the "Your Feedback" heading or the "Send Feedback" button to something more applicable, like "Your Comment" and "Send Comment"?
  2. The date format in the log part of the module (where feedback/comments are displayed) shows the date in all-numeric format (e.g. 11/6/2012). How can I change this to the more understandable "Nov 6, 2012" or even "November 6, 2012"?

1. use language editor in Admin > Languages (click pen in Static Resources > Website column and select files from the tree on the left)
2. this would require a code change, AFAIK

HI Ian,

You can modify the template for the Feedback display. Where it says [Feedback:PublishedOnDate] change this to [Feedback:PublishedOnDate|D]. Or you can use one of the date formats shown here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libra..., or make up your own using a custom one (select the custom page from the menu on the left).

Sebastian: It took me some slogging through the Local Resources/Global Resources tree to find and figure out what I was actually supposed to be editing -- but I eventually got there and learned some things along the way.

Roger: I had no idea that there were so many date formats!
