Jason,

I can reproduce your issue and I know now why. There is nothing you can do in script or configuration. The XslCompiledTransform-provider stores the output of the transformation into a XmTextWriter. This causes a pretty html output - but fails totally for plain text or csv.

I've added a work item to the tracker.

Stefan

Thanks Stefan!

I am relieved it wasn't something I was doing wrong. At the same time I am bummed.

This was my key piece in a big project! I do understand most developers are volunteers and I greatly appreciate your time and commitment. Is this something that will likely not get resolved for months? If so, do you know of any other module that has similar functionality?

Jason, you might consider to test XML4.3.5. This should work pretty well.

I can't promise how long it takes for a new release. The bug is easy to fix - all needed is to replace the word XmlTextWriter to StringWriter. At least on first sight. The XmlTextWriter ensures xhtml compliance, and the output looks much nicer.

Thanks Stefan! I will take a look at XML4.3.5.!  Sounds like a new build may be a ways off. I would be happy to test the changes if you can provide a patch file with the fix. :)  POKE ----------> :) NO PRESURE!!!

The older module won't work for me. The source requires user credentials to access it! This feature is not available in 4.3.5. When it rains, it poors..... :(
