I have recently upgraded from DNN4.9.5 to DNN 6.1.3 and have noticed an issue when trying to update our site settings.

I am trying to change our copyright message and also use a logo for the site, when I try to load these onto the site they do not change / load on my site. I am however able to change the Site skins & containers without any issue.

I have taken a look in the log files and it appears that the application restarts everytime I try and make these changes.

Could you let me know if this is a known bug or how I would go about fixing this? We did try some incremental upgrades to version 5 but also noticed it had the same issue. Could it be database related or something else?

Please try to delete yourt browser Cookies.  Try a IISreset localy on the webserver.  Are you sure the LOGO is not hardcoded on the Skin (could be if you have a custom Skin).

As far as I remember there was a change in the site settings when they introduced DNN 5.5 or so - there are now localized site settings in the table "PortalLocalization" - and the field for the logo and copyright message ("FooterText") can be found there - there is one record per portal and language.

Hope it helps
Michael
