Hi,

I've created a location map through a website which is "http://www.fla-shop.com/country/us/al...". I want to upload the flash map on my DNN website; it says I have to upload:

1. Upload the SWF and XML files to your website.

This should be the following files
- locator_map.swf
- locator_map.xml
- data.swf

I've successfully uploaded the 2 swf files already, but I'm not sure where should I upload the xml file. Whenever I tried to upload that it'll have a message saying "File type .xml is not valid. Valid Types are: fla,swf"

Are you using DNN's file manager to upload your files?

 Under Host -> Host Settings -> Other Settings there is a text area that shows allowable file types

Hi Gareth,

Yes, I used file manager to upload the xml file. Because in the text edit box, the [insert image] and [insert flash] buttons both don't support xml type. It keeps telling me it is an invalid type and only file manager would let me upload it but it doesnt seem working at all. I need to upload that xml source file inorder to make the swf file works.

And I've checked [host] > [host setting] > [other setting] as you suggested, it does say it supports xml file. Can you please walk me through the steps of where I should upload an xml file?

Hi Yanelle,
I'm not sure I understand. Where are you trying to upload the files to? Is this through a custom module?
If xml files are allowed, DNN will let you upload that file but only to your portal root or host root if you have access.

Hi Gareth,

The flash location map looks like this http://www.vectoraerospace.com/contac...

I have updated the information in the map, but when I tried to [insert flash] in the [text edit] area, nothing has changed. It is still showing the old map that we used.

You said it has to be uploaded in the Host Portal area... but I'm not sure where it is actually.
When I go to [Host] > [Portals], it doesnt have a place that where I can upload anything. How should I do this?
