Hi Everybody,

I need to run a scheduler on application start alone, I don't want it to run for every time elapse which i don't want to enter the time elapse. So if i didn't enter time schedule is disable it will not enable unless we mention the time interval. If this is the case why they are giving an option called run scheduler on APP_START. Can any body help me to start a scheduler on application start alone with out giving any time interval.

Thanks & Regards,

Janardhan Reddy. C

Janardhan,

I would try to set Time Lapse and Retry Frequency to 0 and Ron on Event to APPLICATION_START.

Let me know if that was helpful.

Best wishes
Michael

Janardhan,

seems you are right, even that was the way I would have read it in the help text: "Leave blank to disable timer for this task." - so it should be done at application start.

I reported this issue on Gemini - let's see if it helps...

Best wishes
Michael

Michael,

It is not working I tried already in that way but it is not running the scheduler which i gave on APP_START. I am not getting why DNN providing run on APP_START but if we give time elapse and retry frequency only it is working else it is not working.

Regards,
Janardhan
