I have performed your sql script and allowed the schedule to re-index, however the search is still not including blog entries. I've reviewed the Events Log, however I'm not really sure what I'm looking for.
Am I looking for an "Exception" or "Operation Failure"? Here is an example of something that include the mention of BLOG:
