If you add a new profile property under Admin | Site Settings | User Account Settings, how do you make it write-able?

default Profile Visibility Mode  = All users
display the Profile Visibility control in the Users profile = checked

Edit Property Details:
visible = checked
default visibility = All Users

If I log in as host - Admin | User accounts and click edit, on host or ordinary user, I can see the new profile property but I can not edit it - appears to be read-only?

Log in as ordinary user - go to my profile | manage profile, I can see the new profile property but I can not edit it - appears to be read-only?

What do I need to do to make it editable? Write to it? (This site previously had ActiveSocial - not sure if that has anything to do with it.)

06.02.04 (63) and there are no errors in event viewer.

Does 6.2.5 fix it or make it worse?

John, I vaguely remember an error reported in this area, but I am not sure, whether it has been fixed in 6.2.5. Please check release notes on http://support.dotnetnuke.com.

Looked at that but can't find anything same ...

Remembered that I had only removed the old Active Social from menu ... as I'm not sure what/how to remove everything from database, etc. I had previously ran the Active Social update scripts by Will.

So went to Active Social | Profile | edit profile ... here I can update the info in the new profile fields.

Now if I switch back to the DNN profile, the data is updated. However, the new profile fields can still not be edited on DNN edit profile.
