Hi,
I would like a user to be able to register directly from an app, is this possible? When a registration occurs on the site does a stored procedure get executed (to check the user doesn't already exist, insert the user details etc), so I might be able to amend this procedure to be called from the app?

Thanks,

Hi

Programmtically you can do this by creating object of UserInfo class. Set required values like Username, DisplayName, password, PortalID etc. Then call the CreateUser() of UserController class by passing the created object of the UserInfo class. This will create the user if not exist.

Thanks,

Also there is a method ValidateUser() of DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController class to validate a user exists or not.

Thanks,
